We offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, service-oriented librarian to join an outstanding library which has a vital, central role in supporting the academic and scholarly endeavors of students and faculty in a private university consistently recognized through rankings in the top tier of the country's finest liberal arts institutions.
Reference Librarian, Business and Economics: Serves as the librarys liaison and subject specialist for business and economics in the undergraduate College and in the Wayne Calloway School of Business and Accountancy. Selects business and economics materials for the library collection. Provides user instruction for the students, faculty and university community, teaches credit-bearing information literacy course, and prepares related instructional materials. Provides reference services, research assistance, and library instruction in business, economics and other disciplines served by the library.
Required: Bachelors degree in business or economics. Masters degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program. Additional Qualifications Desired: Masters degree in Business Administration. Academic library experience with business emphasis. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
Along with 6 other professionals, this position shares reference desk and virtual reference responsibilities, including evening and weekend rotations; participates in outreach, marketing, assessment and other library initiatives; and conducts computer training and orientation for students and faculty.
