EDUCATION
EXPERIENCE:
This librarian must have a Master's degree in library science, plus at least five years of related library experience, including at least one year of supervisory and administrative experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
SPECIAL JOB
DIMENSIONS:
Knowledge of: methods, policies, practices, principles, and procedures of professional library management, including budgeting and financing techniques; local, state, and national library interest and professional groups; management and supervisory techniques; personnel policies and procedures; and library reference systems. Skill/Ability to: supervise, motivate, train, and evaluate employees; demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication; establish effective working relationships with area organizations, schools, employees, representatives of other libraries, vendors, and the general public; and operate office equipment, including fax machine, copier, calculator, microfilm reader, and computer using standard word processing, spreadsheet, and data inquiry software.

JOB SUMMARY:
Operates library efficiently and ensures that the library meets the needs of the community by defining, administering, and evaluating library goals and procedures; overseeing library employees; preparing annual budget; promoting the library; procuring materials; assisting patrons; and managing all phases of library operations.
SALARY/WAGE:
$35,668 To $53,494 Annually ($ 17.14/hr -
$25.71/hr), DOQ
