    Temporary Librarian The main responsibility of the Temporary Librarian is to maintain a library uniquely devoted to the needs of actors. The library’s collections are concentrated in the areas of drama, theatre history, voice, vocal production, movement and social history; collections of play scripts and vocal scores; and an audio-visual collection specializing in documentary video tapes for historic social research, films, plays and various aspects of acting technique. The Librarian reports to the Director of Instruction. The essential functions of the Librarian are: Maintains inventory control of all library collections, responsible for the acquisition of all library materials, orders and processes all play scripts and textbooks for sale, maintains accurate debit/credit accounts for library budget and student book fees, which includes timely remittance of invoices to the bursar, responsible for request of Company royalties permission and submitting for payment, evaluates, accepts and catalogues appropriate donations, follows procedures for processing, cataloguing, circulation, and retrieval of materials and equipment, updates library guide and instructs students, faculty and staff in the use of the library, maintains all library equipment and supervises work-study students Education, Experience and Skills Required: Master of Library and Information Science preferred; Bachelor of Library Science with equivalent library experience acceptable, knowledge of the performing arts, Computer literate, excellent organizational skills, excellent communications and people skills and supervisory skills Compensation: Salary and benefits are competitive and based on the candidate's experience and qualifications for the position.
