Harold and Wilma Good Library seeks a Technical Services Librarian to begin immediately. Partially grant-funded, this position is 1.0 FTE through June 2006 and 0.75 FTE thereafter. Responsibilities include cataloging; oversight of processing and acquisitions; departmental liaison work; library instruction; reference desk coverage (incl. some nights and weekends); and archival digitization. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
Qualifications: ALA-accredited masters degree plus two years of professional experience, at least one of which includes cataloging in an online environment; knowledge of OCLC, MARC, AACR2, LC Classification and LCSH; supervisory experience. Preferred: experience with Aleph (Ex Libris) system; familiarity with public services functions and reference resources; knowledge of digital conversion issues and metadata standards.
