The York County Library is seeking a Manager of Adult Services for its Main Library in Rock Hill, SC. The successful candidate will supervise the Reference and Circulation Departments and the Technology Center; plan and coordinate adult programming throughout the Library System; assist in maintaining a program of quality customer service and staff training and development; participate in selection of books and other materials; assist Library Director and other senior managers in formulating short- and long-range plans, policies, and procedures for library service and facility development and improvement.
Minimum training and experience: master's degree in Library & Information Science from an ALA accredited college or university supplemented by 3 to 5 years of relevant library, supervisory, customer service, and computer experience. Salary range is $44,021-$61,629; actual starting salary depends upon experience. Excellent fringe benefits package includes 12 days paid vacation and 12 days paid sick leave; health and dental insurance with employee paying about 1/4 of total cost plus options for additional coverage; State retirement; deferred compensation program; flexible spending account; credit union membership; and 9 paid holidays.
