Responsible for providing reference assistance, library instruction, user training, and research assistance in the Marston Science Library. The use of new technology to access and deliver information to library users is a key element of this assignment. Works constructively in group efforts using independent judgment in handling problems and maintains close working relationships with faculty, students and colleagues. Responsible for circulation services and may work on special projects such as collection reviews, citation studies, or preparation of web-based bibliographies. This is a tenure track position.
Qualifications: Masters degree in library science from an ALA accredited library school. An academic degree in an appropriate science discipline (priority given to physical sciences or engineering) or the equivalent. Prefer: Academic degree in physical sciences or engineering. Salary: $40,000
