Rockford Public Library seeks an energetic, customer-focused individual to join our management team. This is an exciting time in a library that will seek to go to referendum to expand and build facilities in the near future.
Requirements: Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited institution, and a minimum of two (2) years professional library experience. Previous supervisory and management experience a plus. We are looking for strong skills in merchandising and showmanship, excellent customer service, reference and technology skills, and the ability to enjoy a diverse young adult and adult population. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of focusing on the customer experience through reference and readers advisory, programs, and outreach in support of the librarys mission.
Salary: Minimum starting salary of $45,224. Annual cost of living and merit increases.
