LIBRARY DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Dynamic, creative, public-service oriented library administrator sought to direct start-up of a public library. Work with board of newly formed library district to develop a plan of service. Work with architects and construction manager on the conversion of an existing building into a library. Determine staffing requirements; formulate policy recommendations; develop and implement procedures. Organize and manage collection development including opening-day collection. Flexible schedule. Prefer
35 hours/week but will consider minimum of 20 hours per week. Temporary (18 month) appointment. Masters Degree in Library Science from ALA accredited school and minimum of two years experience as a public library director. Nassau County resident preferred but non-residents also welcome to apply. Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
