Title
Temporary Circulation Librarian
Position Summary
Full-time, temporary, entry-level, non-tenure track position. Oversees 4 functions within the circulation department: circulation, interlibrary loan, reserves, and stacks maintenance. Primary duties include communicating information about and ensuring compliance of departmental policies and procedures; collaborating with other library departments; and resolving daily problems.
Supervision Received
Reports to the Associate Dean of the Library.
Supervision Exercised
Provides direct supervision to one faculty member and two paraprofessionals; indirectly supervises ten support staff and twenty students.
Required
A library degree or significant progress toward one and/or equivalent, relevant experience; three years or library experience; including supervision; excellent communication skills.
Desirable
Experience in automation and library systems; professional or clerical work in a circulation department; academic library experience.
